Yesterday my good friend came into the studio to capture some memorable images of her brand new baby girl, Eden. At just 5 days old Eden was so alert ... after her cat nap at the beginning she didn't want to miss a single moment of the session. :o)

10 Valentine's Days

Ten years ago today Craig and I had our very first date over a cup of coffee at the Second Cup in the Meadowlands. Tonight we will be celebrating at that very same coffee shop. I can't believe how much time has passed. I remember that night like it was yesterday ... but yet I can't remember what it was like to be without my sweetheart! I love you baby!

Mosby Monday - Feb. 5th-11th

This week I've got a little more of the Frankin/Mosby ... love/hate relationship for you. :o)

We call this the "rat run" ... one of Mosby's favourite things to do is to run around at great speeds with his toy rat in his mouth (he doesn't do this with any other toy, just his rat ... hence ... rat run). This time he killed 2 birds with one stone ... excecuted the rat run ... and drove Franklin crazy!! :o)

And after about 5 minutes of that heartpounding fun ... you get this ... for at least an hour ... lol. :o)

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of meeting Erin and Joe when they came in for their maternity session and I fell in love with them right away! Yesterday I got to meet their sweet new addition Max ... and I fell in love with him right away as well!

Congratulations Joe and Erin!! You are going to be fabulous parents and Max is very lucky to have you!!

But seriously ... look at that hair ... what's not to love ... :o)

Yesterday sweet little Angelica graced my studio with her presence. She may just be the most mellow and easy-going baby I have ever worked with. At a "healthy" 10 lbs, she slept like an angel and let me move her and poke her and fuss with her without even making so much as a peep.
I also got to meet Daniel ... who is Angelica's very helpful and very handsome big brother. :o) What a great job he did holding his baby sister!!
Congratulations Carmelina and Danny ... you have an absolutely beautiful family!!

I interupt this regularly scheduled Mosby Monday to present to you "~~Mosby~~ Miffed Cat Monday".
Hopes were high when we brought Mosby home that he would be best of friends with our cats ... and he is ... the cats just aren't so much best of friends with him ...

And here is post-puppy Franklin, always found on high surfaces, always has one eye open ... never trusting fast brown mutt that circles under the tables like a shark.

In the dictionary beside "love/hate relationship" ... there should be a picture of these two ... Mosby loves, Franklin hates.
Oh how I love my peaceful home ... ;o)

Mosby Monday - Jan. 15th-21st

I can't believe how fast my little guy is growing!! I look back to the first few Mosby Mondays and he doesn't even look like the same dog. I'm pretty sure that his ears are growing faster than any other part of his body though, lol.

Mosby got this bear for Christmas, and it is definitely one of his bestest friends. I mean, nothing says friendship like ripping ears off and chewing on noses. Lol ... to each his own I guess.

You may also note that as he is chewing on ears and noses, he remains prim and proper with his ankles crossed and his tail perfectly curled ... sheesh!!

My bestest friend Rachel did such a good job making him a cozy home that he stayed in there an extra week ... but determined not to be a Christmas baby ... he waited until boxing day morning to make his appearance, lol. :o)

Bridal Show This Weekend!!

This little sweetheart came into my studio this week, and she was such a delight. You might recall Noah from some previous posts, well Ava is his beautiful baby sister. Robert and Rachel, I could photograph your babies every day of the week!! Congratulations!!

Mosby Monday - Dec. 11th-17th

This past weekend we took our little pup to doggie dreamland ... PetSmart!! :o) He met a bunch of new friends (canine and human), including a beautiful great dane who's foot was the size of my entire dog, lol.
A trip to PetSmart isn't complete without a new toy, and of all the toys in the whole store, this is the one that Mosby picked out ...

Meet Mr. Ferret. I can see why Mosby was drawn to him though ... the short-legged, long-bodied animals gotta stick together after all ...
Mr. Ferret wasn't home but 10 minutes and they are now the best of friends ...

We also had to make sure to get our little guy some gear for the colder weather. I think he's super stylin' ... but I suspect he thinks that he looks a little too much like Mr. Rogers in his grey cableknit ... lol.

And last but certainly not least ... a trip to PetSmart a week before Christmas wouldn't be complete without a picture with Santa ... :)

I haven't had the chance to photograph multiples in quite some time, so I was very excited to find out that my good friends Dan and Leanne were having twins!! These two beautiful little girls are absolutely perfect!! Verity and Felicity were born November 17th and were able to come home from the hospital and come in for their session at only 3 weeks old (which is awesome for preemie twins!!) Despite the "double-sized" pile of laundry, the session was a great success! :o)
Congratulations Dan and Leanne!! Your family of 3 is now a family of 5 and I couldn't be happier for you!

Just wanted to send out a little message to let everyone know that I'm experiencing some issues with Blogger. I was in the process of uploading a wedding post and I'm having some issues with file sizes and resolution ... and after further research I've discovered that ALL of my previous posts (going back years) are also having issues with displaying larger images properly. I'm hoping that it's just a temporary glitch-type situation, but I am looking into ways to fix it, or possibly moving to a different blogging platform. My apologies to those who are waiting for their sneak peeks ... I will have them up shortly, I just have to fiddle with the images one at a time to make them display properly. Thank you all for your patience while I figure out what to do.

PS. Technology sucks!! Can't live with it ... can't live without it!!

I can't believe how fast my little guy is growing!! It feels like we brought him home just yesterday and he's already almost twice the size. I wouldn't mind if his ears kept growing though ... I just love them to bits!!

Yesterday I got to photograph my 1 week old beautiful niece Laura ... and she was an absolute champ for her session. She slept pretty much the entire time and left me only a small pile of towels to wash ... YAY!!
Big sister Audrey was also fantastic and kept herself occupied and quiet for almost 4 hours!! Great job kiddo!!

On Wednesday Nov. 30th my second beautiful niece Laura was born. I'm super stoked to be doing her newborn session in a couple of days, and I will for sure be showing her off like the proud aunt I am!!

Mosby Monday - Nov. 20th-26th

This Mosby Monday I've got a special treat for you ... well a couple actually. Since I had such a great time doing the "Baby's 1st Christmas" mini-sessions last weekend, I decided to do a "Mosby's 1st Christmas" mini-session. Believe it or not, 8 month old children are a lot more cooperative than a puppy ... a LOT!!! I enlisted the help of my good friend Lisa, and this was the best we could do ... lol.

Puppy = 1
Grown Women = 0

Mosby has also developed a little love interest lately. I thought it would be good for Mosby to have some socialization with another small dog, and Lisa's pup Sadie seemed to be the perfect fit. You might call it a love/hate relationship though. Mosby seems to be playing a little "hard to get" ...

And because sometimes a picture just isn't enough ... here they are chasing eachother around Lisa's coffee table. (we had to tip it up on it's side because Mosby kept trying to go underneath and getting his legs stuck in the rungs, lol ... he's not very graceful)

Mosby Monday - Nov. 6th-12th

I know a lot of you have been anxiously awaiting this post! :o) I've decided to do a POTD (picture of the day) of Mosby and post them each Monday ... and it shall be called MOSBY Monday!! :o)

Wow, what a week it has been!! Getting a puppy is a good way to prepare you for starting a family, lol. Day 1 and 2 consisted of a very clingy puppy and many frustrations with house training ... but to my surprise on day 3 the little guy got the hang of doing his business on the grass and it's been effortless even since!!

The clingyness on the other hand, we are still working on. I want him to be well socialized and not always need to be on me or near me, so if anyone would like to come over for a visit to get him used to other people and other smells ... by all means ...

Molly and Franklin (our cats) are taking some time to adjust. They are curious, but keep their distance. I'm sure they will be the best of friends in no time ... if Mosby would ever stop trying to chase them!

All in all, he's a good little lad! He's had lots of new experiences this week. A new home, a new family, a new bathroom (lol), his first walk, his first visit to PetSmart ... and he has even learned to sit on command! We've still got a long way to go, but we'll get there!

Sweet Baby Stefan | Hamilton Newborn Photography

Yesterday Ivana and Zeljko brought their brand new bundle of joy Stefan into the studio for a session. Also in tow was their adorable 2 year old daughter Maja, who was incredibly quiet and shy at first, but after 30 minutes she was chatty Cathy!! :o)

Stefan was a big boy born at 9 pounds, so he had lots of adorable rolls for his newborn pictures! Gave us some challenges though ... I think he might be the strongest newborn I have ever worked with. He wanted control of his arms and his head and he wasn't happy with me trying to pose him all curled up. :oP And even though he also managed to dirty everything his little bum came into contact with (including Mom, and me ... twice), he kept us laughing, and we got some great shots. :o)

There's a bonus picture of Maja too, cuz she's just so darn cute!!

Once Upon a Bagged Lunch | Hamilton Engagement Photography

The weather was so beautiful last Sunday for Leanne and Ryan's engagement session!! Not to mention they chose McMaster University grounds for their shoot, which is absolutely gorgeous!!
These two are such a cute couple!! Ryan could not keep his hands (and lips) off his girl. Every time I would ask them to look at eachother, Ryan would kiss her ... it was like he just couldn't help it! :o) It was SO sweet!!
Ryan and Leanne both attended McMaster University for many years, but never actually met eachother while there. They actually met their first day on the job when they were the only ones to bring a bagged lunch. They sat together, started chatting ... and the rest is history ...

Crosby Steals the Show | Dundas Engagement Photography

Becky and Jay joined me for their engagement session last weekend at Websters Falls and it was a ton of fun!! I can't wait for this couple's wedding next year!! :o)
They brought along their beloved pup Crosby for some of the shots and he melted my heart immediately!! Being a dog-lover ... the big brown eyes of a golden retriever is like kryptonite.
Usually I would only post 6 teasers for an engagement session, but Crosby just couldn't be cut, so you get 8. :o)

And a thank-you shout out to Kirk ... or was it Kurt ... no, I'm pretty sure it's Kirk ... oh heck ...
And a thank-you shout out to the dog guy for keeping tabs on Crosby during the session!

Mosby at 6 Weeks

Well, we went for our last visit yesterday, and boy has he grown! As I expected he's thumping around now on his short little legs, and he tail is wagging like crazy ... he's officially 100% puppy! :o)

It was much harder to leave this time. I think we stayed at that poor family's house for over an hour! But in less than 2 weeks it will all be worth it because we'll be bringing the little guy home with us.

Congratulations Stephanie and Carlos on the birth of your beautiful daughter Isabela! It was such a pleasure working with you last month for your maternity session, and it was great to see you again (this time with baby in hand). :o)

Isabela was such a delight to work with. The heater made her oh so sleepy (and I think it might be a trick that mom and dad use at home now, lol).

I'm so glad that Carlos spotted the Christmas stuff in my stash of props because I secretly wanted to use it, but didn't want to be one of those obnoxious Christmas lovers that starts the holiday in October ... :oP

Blake & Lyndsey | Dundas Engagement Photography

Blake and Lyndsey are such a cute couple!! This weekend we went to the Dundas Valley Conservation Area for their engagement session and we had a blast!! Lyndsey was a little nervous about being in front of the camera at first, but with her sweetheart by her side, she settled right into it. :o)

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole and Justin when they came in for their maternity session. What an awesome couple these two are ... we had so much fun! :o) Nicole has a very high-risk pregnancy and has been on bedrest for months, but you wouldn't know it to look at her. She's doing a wonderful job keeping that baby safe and healthy in there! We had to be very gentle throughout the session, but ended up with some wonderful shots to remember the miracle that is this pregnancy!
Nicole and Justin, it was a pleasure working with you ... and my thoughts and prayers are with you for a full-term baby and a safe and healthy delivery! I very much hope to get to meet the little one when he/she arrives!

PS. Nicole, you are one HOT mamma!! ;o)

Our Humble Abode

This blog post has been a long time coming, but the new house is FINALLY finished, and now it's time to share some before and after shots. :o) My husband and I spent a lot of time and money making this place our own, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. :o)

I will take you on a tour room by room, but the studio is not quite finished yet, so it will get it's own separate blog post in the near future.

We will start off in the front entryway which received a fresh coat of paint as well as brand new french doors (going into the studio) done by my talented brother-in-law Kevin.

Then when you go up the stairs you enter the living room which also got a fresh coat of paint and brand new carpeting.

Side note ... I love my family collage in the hallway ...

The dining room has a pass through to the kitchen, which is one of the most transformed rooms of the house. The cabinets got a complete face lift with some fresh paint and new hardware. It was a big task, but a very cost effective way to modernize the traditional 80's cabinetry.

The 3rd bedroom will eventually be a nursery ... ;o) But we painted it before the new carpets went in so that we wouldn't have to do it later.

Here is the room where all of the editing magic happens. :o) My husband and I share this office which suits our needs quite well.

And last, but certainly not least, the ensuite bath. We also updated the bathroom cabinets with a fresh coat of paint and some new hardware. :o)

And there ya have it ... that's our new digs. :o)
A BIG thank you to everyone that helped us make this a dream home for us ... my Mom, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and our friends ... who all put in countless hours of painting and schlepping and cleaning. We are eternally grateful!!

... I guess now we have no more excuses ... it's time to think about starting a family ... ;o)

Mosby Update!!

Well, the hubby and I just got back from visiting Mosby and he is even cuter than before ... :o) At 4 weeks old, his eyes are now wide open and he is fumbling around on his wobbly little legs. I think his ears grew twice as long since the last visit, which I'm ecstatic about, because I've always wanted a droopy-eared dog.
He doesn't really respond to sounds yet, but I was still able to get one shot with him looking right at the camera (total fluke) ... but mission successful none the less. :o)
Just 4 more weeks and we get to take this little fuzzy bundle of joy home!!
Stay tuned 2 weeks from today for a 6 week update ...
I know I'm totally biased, but isn't he just the cutest puppy you've ever seen??

Little Luka surprised his mommy and daddy by arriving 2 weeks early. When he came in for his session at 11 days old he was full of energy, but after much feeding and much rocking, he finally gave in and fell asleep. :o)
It was a challenge, but we got through it ... and boy was it worth it!

Meet MOSBY!!

As many of you know, my husband and I have 2 cats that we absolutely adore, but we have always also wanted a dog. Back when we were dating we used to talk about what our lives would look like in the future, and very early on we decided that there absolutely must be a wiener dog in that family picture!

A couple years later the show How I Met Your Mother aired and it became one of our favourite programs ... and so the name Mosby was decided. We would have a dachshund, and he would be named Mosby ... we didn't know when, and we didn't know how, but we talked of him often anyway.

For the past 5 years we were living in an apartment and another pet just wasn't an option. But after moving to our first home a few months ago, the discussions of Mosby became more serious. We gave our cats some time to adjust, and then decided that the family was ready for a new addition ... so the search began.

I am now very excited to announce that we have found him ... our little Mr. Mosby!! He was born on September 11th and he is now just over 2 weeks old. We won't be able to bring him home for a few more weeks, but we went to visit this evening for the first time, and of course ... we fell in love at first sight (as I'm sure you will too). We will be going back to visit every 2 weeks until we can bring him home, and you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be a blog post with an excessive amount of pictures for each visit!

What a beautiful day it was for a wedding!! Ryan and Andrea tied the knot at the gorgeous Liuna Gardens this past weekend. I had such a great time with this awesome couple!

Here is your sneak peek from Saturday. It's kinda long, but I just couldn't help myself ... I have too many favourites! :o)

We started the day at Maison Fritz in Stoney Creek, which as I've said before is my absolute favourite salon for getting ready shots. Lots of windows for gorgeous lighting, and all of the girls can do hair and makeup in the same place. :o) Not to mention the amazing staff ... highly recommended!

Andrea had an outfit change for later in the evening, and these were the amazing shoes that she chose. :o) Since my feet can't handle heels, I am constantly living vicariously through my brides, hehe.

Being the animal lover that I am, I can never resist a good shot of the family pet ... meet Cosmo!

What a gorgeous location! And all of Andrea's little touches made the room just sparkle!

A breathtaking waterfront ceremony with a cool breeze and the smell of flowers everywhere ... very romantic!

And a big shout out to the awesome bridal party!! Emily (maid of honour) and Trevor (best man), you were both SO helpful ... it was a pleasure meeting all of you!!

I met Anna and Stephen at the Baby Expo this spring and this week they came in for a newborn session with their brand new baby boy. After going 11 days overdue and having to be induced, little 6lb. Winter entered the world. He was such a champ for his session ... slept pretty much the whole time and only dirtied one small towel. I think that just might be a record! :o)

My Beautiful Booth | Hamilton/Halton Fall Bridal Show

This afternoon was spent setting up my booth for the bridal show this weekend ... and I couldn't be more excited about how it turned out!! At the beginning of this year I completely changed my branding, and because I can't do anything "half way" ... I had to totally revamp my booth design as well. It was a lot of work, and a ~~little~~ (LOT) bit of stress, but totally worth it!!

A BIG thank you to my Mom who helped me to take a crazy idea and run with it! Not to mention the hours spent twisting black pipe cleaners ,cutting out birds and stitching fabric. None of this would be in existence with your help!!

I would also like to thank my talented seamstress of a Mother-in-Law for sewing the backdrop fabric, and my wonderful husband for lugging everything to the show for setup.

And a "thank you in advance" to my AWESOME friend Rachel for managing the booth for me tomorrow while I will be shooting a wedding, and to my assistant Karen for helping out as well!

I would not be where I am today without all of your love and support, (and sweat and tears)! You are TRULY appreciated!!

It's almost that time of year again!! In 2 short weeks I will be exhibiting at the Hamilton Halton Fall Wedding Show. Like last year, the show will be held at the Careport Centre in Hamilton which is an awesome location (FREE parking!!) The show runs Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, September 18th from 12 noon to 5:00pm. If you're interested in the fashion show it will run at 1:30 and 3:30 on both days.

If you are getting married and still have some vendors to book, then I would highly recommend visiting this show! There are great prizes to be won and great deals to be had! Admission at the door is $12, but I have some coupons for $2 off, so if you would like one just let me know and you can come and pick one up at the studio. You can also get the discount by purchasing your tickets online here.

I won't be present at the event on the Saturday (because I'll be shooting an AWESOME wedding) ... but my booth will be there with some fantastic assistants that can answer your questions. :o) But if you would like to come and visit little ol' ME ... come on the Sunday. Brand New Bryella (5 Days) | Hamilton Newborn Photography

I had the pleasure of capturing Tabatha and Carlos' pregnancy in July ... and then we patiently awaited the arrival of little Bryella (don't ya just love that name?) Tabatha's due date came and went ... and after 11 days of waiting she was induced. This little princess did not want to come out ... but now that she's here, she's happy as a clam! She was such a champ for her session ... slept for a good hour right at the beginning, so I took full advantage!!
I'm still getting used to working in the new studio, but I'm very happy with the results so far. :o) Thank you Carlos and Tabatha for trusting me to capture these memories for you. Congratulations!! She is perfect!!

I think Leanne & Louis' E-Session yesterday may just have been my most fun E-Session to date. We went to the Winona Peach Festival and spent most of our time in the Midway ... SO MUCH FUN!!! On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Nathan and LeeAnne's special day. The day went perfectly! The weather was beautiful, we were able to stay on schedule, and everyone had a fantastic time!!

LeeAnne and Nathan are the cutest couple!! I think I might actually have a little crush on them, hehe. When we were at the house for the guy's getting ready photos I noticed one of the engagement photos that I took of Nathan and LeeAnne almost a year ago at their E-Session. I just couldn't resist grabbing a shot ... :o)

I was so happy when I found out that LeeAnne and Nathan had opted to do a "first look". This is when the bride and groom have a special private moment to see each other for the first time before the ceremony. We scouted a beautiful spot in Hendrie Park at RBG ... it was VERY romantic!!

On Friday I got to be a part of Tim & Emily's beautiful wedding day ... and what an honour it was! Family and friends gathered to support this amazing couple in their commitments to each other for a lifetime. Their firm faith in God, and the glory that was given to Him for this union was heartfelt and refreshing. I wish you both the very best in your new life as man and wife! :o)

Tim and Emily opted to do a "first look", which means that they spent a private moment seeing each other for the first time, rather than waiting until the ceremony. I absolutely love when couples choose this option as it creates a much more intimate memory which is captured in the photographs ... (not to mention it lends to a much more practical itinerary for the busy day). As I'm photographing I often find myself getting caught up in the moment (from a distance, with a zoom lens) ... I have to remind myself, you're here to work, not to get all weepy. Hehe.

The weather could not have been more beautiful for us. Blue skies, fluffy clouds ... the perfect backdrop for a waterfront ceremony. Emily and Tim had their ceremony and reception at the Best Western Beacon in Jordan.

As the sun started setting during the reception we snuck out to get a few more photos outside by the awesome boat.

Isn't this the yummiest light you have ever seen? It sets my heart a quiver ... hehe.

What a fun wedding I got to be a part of last weekend. Rob and Kristy and both of their families are such wonderful people ... after spending just one day with them I felt like part of the family.

Their romantic ceremony was held at Melrose United Church, and what a beautiful church it was! Tons of stained glass windows and plenty of room to move around ... a wedding photographer's dream. :o)

We then went to Sherman Falls in Ancaster to do some photos. I've never seen this tucked away gem before, but it was great for pictures! Somewhat challenging with large groups of people, but we made it work. :o)

Their reception was at the beautiful Marquis Gardens in Ancaster. The evening was filled with heartfelt and hilarious speeches, fantastic food, and lots of dancing.

I had such a great time this week doing Emily and Tim's e-session at Bronte Creek in Burlington!! What a fun couple ... and oh so much in love!! Every time that I asked Tim to look at Emily he would kiss her ... it's like he couldn't resist, hehe. Usually I would only ask a couple to kiss a couple of times during an engagement session, but this time I was able to capture lots without even asking. :o) I don't mind a little PDA every once and while ... I think it's refreshing. And I'm glad that they felt that comfortable in front of me ... should lend for some very great moments captured on their wedding day in August. I can't wait!!

Chris and Mandy had their E-Session this week at the beautiful Village Square. This is one of my favourite locations for engagement sessions!! All of the different textures are enough to make a photographer's heart go aflutter ... hehe.

Kyle & Alene Tie the Knot | Ancaster Wedding Photography

This past Friday Kyle and Alene had a beautiful intimate ceremony at the Ancaster Old Mill. Tiny drops of rain threatened to escalate through the entire ceremony, but the sky cooperated and we were able to stay outside and get great natural light pictures. :o)
Thank you Alene and Kyle for allowing me to be a part of your special day! It was a pleasure working with you, and I wish you all the best for your marriage in the years to come.

It was a pleasure meeting Ivan and Erin (and handsome baby Hunter) for their newborn session on Thursday! Little 4 day old Hunter totally worked the camera. :o) And after a few attempts, we were even able to get the tricky hammock shot!

Yesterday afternoon I got to photograph little Carter who was such a champ for his session. Sleepy for most of the time, he made my job look easy!!
This little guy had so many different expressions, most of which reminded me of a little old man ... and I mean that in the kindest of ways. :o)

Another Casting Call ... FREE Bridal Session!

Same deal as last time everyone ... I'm looking for a bride and groom to pose for some bridal shots on Sunday, June 12th from 10am to 1pm at Sheridan College (Trafalgar campus).

Couple must have bridal attire (wedding gown and suit or tux) ... any other props would also be great (ie. bridal shoes, bridal jewelry, wedding rings, bridal favours, wedding invitation, etc.)

If you want another chance to get all dressed up in your wedding bling ... or perhaps you weren't extremely happy with your actual wedding photos, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

The session is completely free, all you need to do is donate 3 hours of your time to model for Sheridan students and you will get a minimum of 100 photos from the day on DVD.

Big Baby Boy Beckett | Hamilton Newborn Photography

Yesterday was a first for me ... 2 newborn sessions back to back. I couldn't have asked for better clients though ... baby Beckett was such a little champ!! As long as mommy kept his tummy full he was sleepy and happy as a clam. :o)
At 10 pounds, 4 ounces this "little" guy is the biggest newborn I have photographed to date. I gotta say, I have a soft spot for the rolls and the chub ... hehe. And get a load of his spiky little hairdo ... too cute!!

This little guy did so awesome at his newborn session yesterday!! After a tiny bit of fussing at the beginning he fell asleep and stayed asleep for over an hour ... a newborn photographer's dream!! Congratulations Stefania and Giovanni!! Your new addition is one handsome little dude. :o)

Casting Call ... Free Engagement Session

As many of you know I am attending Sheridan College part time for their Commercial Photography Program. I am currently in a wedding course, and an opportunity has come up that I thought I would share with you. The class has been broken up into pairs and each pair is to photograph an "engaged couple" for an assignment. The couple doesn't actually have to be engaged, dating or married is fine, they just need to be an actual couple (there may be hugging/kissing shots, etc.)

The session has to be done during our class time, which is Sunday, May 29th from 10am to 1pm ... at the Sheridan campus in Oakville. If you are available on that day for those 3 hours and you would like to get some great shots of you and your significant other done for free, please send me a facebook message (you can connect to my facebook page using the link in the right hand margin)

My partner and I only need one couple for this assignment, but there will be more assignments like this in the future, so if you are interested but aren't chosen for this one I will keep your information and may contact you at a later time.

Theatrical Love | Hamilton Engagement Photography

Jessica and Derek are SUCH a fun couple!! Not only is the story of how they met adorable, but it opened up some awesome opportunities for their engagement session.

These lovebirds met 11 years ago at a summer acting program at Theatre Aquarius. Over the years they have both performed their professionally ... and today we got to return to the place where they first met to document their engagement session. Jessica was able to pull some strings at the theatre ... and despite a couple snags we were able to get into the auditorium for a few minutes. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Theatre Aquarius, you totally made our day!

After 4 long years of being just good friends, Derek attended one of Jessica's performances with a dozen red roses. He approached her after the show and said, "Soo ... I don't wanna be just friends ... what do ya think?" Haha ... boys will be boys! Not always the most eloquent, but he got extra points for the roses. :o)

Until now I have not had the luxury of photographing performers. They honestly made me feel like I wasn't even working ... I barely had to say a word to direct them. :o) I am just itching to photograph their wedding day now! June 18th can't come soon enough ... lol.

I met the loveliest couple today that drove all the way from Guelph to get their maternity pictures done! I feel so honoured ... :o)

Joe and Nicole are expecting their first little bundle of joy in June. I can't wait to meet the little guy!!

Nicole got the awesomest (I know that's not a real word, yet I'm gonna use it anyway) shirt to commemorate her biggest pregnancy craving ... ice cream. Of all the pregnancy cravings to have, ice cream is a pretty awesome one! :o)
Haha ... side note ... I just ran the spell check and it suggested that I meant to type "Awesome St." ... lol!

Anyway, it was great meeting you guys today, and I am very much looking forward to your newborn session next month!
